It is possible to map the concept id from the TBX to the Entry ID in a MultiTerm and back. This only makes sense when the id is numeric, since MultiTerm only understands numbers here, but TBX can have nearly any value for an id. If you want this functionality, use these settings:

  • In the TBX V3 settings, select to use a mapping file
  • In the TBX V3 mapping dialog, set the concept id field to "entry number"
  • In the Termbase settings, tick the option to export the entry ID

Otherwise you can still preserve the TBX ID by storing it in an entry level text field. The settings are almost the same, except for the field name:

  • In the TBX V3 mapping dialog, set the concept id field to any value but "entry number"
