Getting help
First check the Known Issues for the error, if it's a common issue, you may find an explanation there.
If there are any problems that are not covered by this help file, contact glossary@cerebus.de.
If you run into errors, it helps the developer if you can do the following:
- If you get an error box like the one below, please either save the error details to a file or copy and then then mail them. Do not just mail a screen shot of the error box, that's missing valuable information.
- For a few common errors, the dialog shows a link to a possible solution. Click on it! Most likely, I can't give any help beyond what is in the link.
- If the problem only happens with one or a few files, send a test file that causes the error. See General troubleshooting for tips on the ideal test data.
- If you don't get an error box with details, provide the following information:
- Windows version
- MultiTerm version
- Converter version
- Description of what happens (doesn't open/freezes/wrong result...)
- Screenshot of any error messages EXCEPT the one shown above.
- User settings, found here: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\SDL OpenExchange\GlossaryConverter\settings.xml. If you can't see that file, you can also open the settings dialog and click [Save] there.
