Data collection

Neither tool does transfer any data to any place outside the computer it is running on. There is no tracking of user activity of any sort.

Internet Access

There is one web call during Glossary Converter startup, to check if a new version is available. This can be switched off in the options, if required. Any other functionality does not require Internet access.

Debug Data

In case of an error, the software offers to collect relevant system data. This is not sent anywhere, but written to a plain text file that you can review before manually mailing to support. 

It is often useful to send sample files to support. I guarantee that any debug data I receive is treated strictly confidential and never passed on.

Temporary Files

During conversion, temporary files are created. In case of errors, they may not all be cleaned up. You can check in:

• The system temp folder, usually C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Temp
• The app folder, usually C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\SDL OpenExchange\GlossaryConverter
