Localisation
Contributing to Glossary Converter
Glossary Converter supports UI localisation. Currently, Bulgarian, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish are included. If you want to help by translating to another language, contact glossary@cerebus.de. Look at this page for data and instructions:

Ad-hoc Localisation
You can change UI strings directly in the converter installation, they are stored in txt files (version 6.2 or later required). This may be useful if you want to fix some errors, or prefer a different terminology than the shipped text.
- Go to the localisation folder of your Glossary Converter, by default
- C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL OpenExchange\Glossary Converter\Strings
- Back up the txt file you want to change
- Make your changes
- If it is still open, restart the Glossary Converter
If you want to edit a txt file, DO NOT USE Excel. It is complete rubbish at handling line breaks in cells and will mess up the resource file. Libre Office or a text editor are much better suited to the task.
Localising the Help File
If you happen to be a Spanish speaker, you can switch to a Spanish version of this help, courtesy of Cabe RodrÃguez MartÃnez and Aina Santandreu Genovart, who went through the incredible task of localising every little detail, down to the ad banners! Here is how to install it:
- Download the file and unzip it.
- copy the extracted chm file to this folder:C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\SDL OpenExchange\GlossaryConverter\chm
- Switch the user interface in the converter to Spanish
