Entry, Language and Term Levels
Columns can be languages or fields on one of three levels:
- Language: contains the term(s) in the given language. If you choose to ignore a language, all fields until the next language are ignored.
- Entry Level: a field that is valid for the whole entry, across all languages and synonyms. To define entry level fields, put them in the first columns, before the first language .
- Index Level: a field that is valid for one language, across all synonyms within that language. Put index level fields after the language they belong to. You decide in the field definition dialog if they are index or term level.
- Term Level: a field that is only valid for one term or synonym within one language. Put term level fields after the language they belong to. You decide in the field definition dialog if they are index or term level.
In the example below, Domain is an entry level field, while Status can be either an index or term field.
