Both Dave's and Gerhard's sketches were done at one of the early Bethesda Small Press Comic Expos in Bethesda, Maryland. The page was cut from the program for the purposes of this auction. Next to his name and talent "bio", Gerhard has written "smudges." Also, if you turn the piece over, he's written in pencil, "Sorry Evan and Sarah" because his artwork bled into the page behind (featuring Evan Dorkin and Sarah Dyer).

The signatures are not cut off in the scan, they are were cut off when I got the page. Makes you wonder how crudely they have been cut from the program...
