Cerebus the Aardvark grew out of a simple logo sketch for a projected fanzine which never saw print. The idea nonetheless took root and Dave developed the character for a strip provided originally for Mike Friedrich's Quack magazine...just before it folded. Noone to give up, Dave entered the ranks of independent comics publishers, where he turned Cerebus in a successful bi-monthly. With over a dozend issues to his credit, Dave and Cerebus have entertained and delighted thousands with the world's foremost (and only) funny animal sword-&-sorcery strip ever created.
